What a joy it was to welcome so many grandparents to campus for our annual Moriah Foundation Grandparents Club Morning Tea! The campus was buzzing with warmth and pride as our guests heard from Foundation President, Judy Lowy OAM, about the impact of The Moriah Foundation, an update on our Rise Up Capital Appeal and the plans for the new High School. We also heard from our inspiring College leadership team about how they’re educating Moriah students in this digital age, preparing them for their futures.
A special highlight of the morning was the heart-warming performance by our gorgeous Year 2 students, which brought so much joy to everyone in the room and reminded us of all of the ruach and spirit of our Moriah Primary School.
In a special message to grandparents, College Rabbi, Rabbi Krebs, said “Pesach is your night! It’s a night for generations. You bring to the seder the longest memories that will stay with the children. You give your grandchildren the love and passion of being Jewish.”
Judy shared that during this challenging time, we do what our people have done throughout history whenever we have faced threats – we double down on our Judaism, stand proud, and educate the next generation.
“We have a responsibility to provide our children with the learning environment they need to thrive in a world that is very different to the one we went to school in.”
Nearly 40 years after Moriah’s High School was first built, we are redeveloping our campus to provide our children with the best learning environment possible. We welcome the support of all our grandparents and special friends in this important next chapter of our growth, with a range of giving opportunities or a donation of any amount that feels right for each family.
We are so grateful for your support and by all of us doing what we can, our children will benefit and so will our community.
